Group Presentation
I believe our group presentation went very well. I didn't think we would make time, so we all put our efforts into our speech parts and it all worked out. I think our information was covered well in all aspects and people learned from our information, which was our intent. Personally, I think I could have talked slower; I still have a tendency to speak too quickly. But overall, the presentation went smoothly.

Pet Shop Duet
I think my duet with Syndi wasn't terrible, but it could've been better. I wish we would have practiced the whole thing together more, but it was overall a good duet i think! We both stumbled over some lines, but we picked each other up and kept on going. I was nervous to begin with, but once I started to get going, the nerves went away.

Entertainment Speech
My life as a dog speech went pretty well I think. I could tell I rushed in some spots, but others was good. I thought I had good eye contact, but I need to span the whole audience, not just one person/spot. As always I got a little nervous, but it's getting better! :)

Persuasive Speech
Well, overall I think that was one of my best speeches! I did not use as many fillers as I have in the past. With the script in hand, I was afraid I would look at it too much, but I think I did a good job of not looking at it the whole speech. On the negative side, I did not do a very good job with gestures; I could have done more. I was nervous as usually, but I controlled it better than I ever have before! There is definitely still room for improvement and I hope I keep going up and don't go down!

"30 Days: Minimum Wage"
By watching this video, I now see how people, including me, just take things for granted. It is important to understand how other people live. Just by looking at someone, you can't tell if they are "just getting by" to pay their bills or if something else has happened to them. This video has really changed how I look at other people, because I don't know what they are going through. I think what Morgan and Alex did in the video really changed how they take things for granted sometimes too. One thing I learned from this video is that there are church centers where volunteers donate items for no charge to people who can't afford those things. I think this is an awesome reflection on how there are some nice people in this world. Also in the video I learned that even though you may not know it, but where you live 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry because their family is struggling make ends meet financially. So, next time you really want something, but really don't need it, think of other people who would appreciate to have the littlest things, but financially can't.

Informative Speech
Well, like most people I get really nervous when I speak in front of others. My informative speech on gum didn't go as I had visioned it to be. I started to forget my information and stumbled over my words. So that is something I need to work on, not getting so nervous! I also need to work on keeping my hands at my side, eye contact, and not moving around. So, if I do these things and many other fixes, I hope my next speech will be better!
